🚨ATTENTION🚨 Starting May 1st‼️
Vehicles entering any state park displaying a license plate from anywhere other than Colorado will be required to purchase a $15 Out-of-State Daily Vehicle Pass. Vehicles displaying a Colorado license plate will still be charged the $10 Daily Vehicle Pass unless there is already an associated pass (KCW, Annual, Columbine, etc.) with the vehicle or occupants.
The Parks and Wildlife Commission approved the increase in the Out–of-State Daily Vehicle Pass fee during the March 2026 meeting. The funds generated from the increase will support important work to maintain and enhance state parks throughout the state. A variable price structure between residents and nonresidents is something that has long been codified within regulations for hunting and fishing licenses. Similarly, this decision is not out of line with how other states charge variable fees for non-residents for admission to their state parks.
When a customer purchases a Daily Vehicle Pass ($10) or an Out-of-State Daily Vehicle Pass ($15) at any park entrance gate, the pass must be attached to their windshield where it can be easily seen by park staff.
