Nestled where the shadow of the majestic Pikes Peak kisses the rolling plains of Eastern Colorado exists San Marco, the home of the Craig family: Todd, AJ, Joshua, Evelyn Elway Wiener Dog, and Woody Peyton Wiener Dog Craig. Visitors will be entreated to AJ's vintage Fostoria glassware and Waterford crystal collections culled from only the finest Goodwill stores in the region. Children ages 2 to 8
2 will marvel at Joshua's plastic tote literally bursting with Lightning McQueen and Mater toys. And everyone is sure to enjoy a potent potable at the nine foot bar well-stocked with a wide variety of only the finest cheap boxed wines. The main floor features a working kitchen, which due of lack of use, remains largely in original condition. Upstairs, you'll find the master suite, or as Todd refers to it: the place where The Magic happens. (The Magic here referring to being allowed to sleep in past 8:00 a.m. The basement features The Nest - a sofa and coffee table where AJ prefers to whittle time away whilst giggling at pages featuring cute animal pictures coupled with witty captions written phonetically so you know that they are the animals' thoughts. The home is guarded by Evelyn, an ever-vigilant, ready-to-pounce dachshund who defends the home from puma attacks and burglars in the 7 to 8 minutes a day when she is not sleeping. The front yard is professionally and beautifully landscaped in sprawling, rich, emerald grasses that have often been mistaken for the greens of Augusta National. The back yard is an homage to the wild prairies of Colorado, expertly xeri-scaped by Mother Nature herself. San Marco has played host to a wide variety of social gatherings over the years, most of which included ribald behaviors and multiple forms of Dionysian festivities and Bacchanalian revelries. Guests have enjoyed warm, plush beds, soft and inviting pillows, and a rich variety of functional indoor plumbing fixtures. During the summer months, visitation is at its peak, so be sure to book rooms at least 1-2 hours in advance. Most people feel saddened leaving San Marco, often waxing poetically about its design, features, belongings, and residents. Visitors are often reluctant to return to their own homes, as they now seem... lesser, which is the way the Mistress of the House prefers it.
