Join us this Saturday from 9am-11am for a hike around Section 16. Everybody is welcome. You never know what me might see. Meet at the section 16 trailhead off of Burgess Road just before 9am. Join us all the way around or turn back for a shorter hike. Don’t forget your water!

Our Spring Apparel Fundraiser has officially launched! The link is in the bio on Insta and in the comments on Facebook. All the special places at SITW have been curated in this special drawing by former Naturalist Al Lake. We are so proud to be able to offer it on tshirts and hoodies. We have multiple brands offered for different price points. Funds raised from the apparel sale will continue to support the mission of Friends of School in the Woods. Campaign runs through May 13th with delivery or local pick up on or around June 1. Not sure which one to order? They will be worn by our board members at the Gathering May 2 10am-12pm.

Join us on a Sunday Morning Bird Hike led by Tucker Dangremond Coyote Class 2005. Meet 7:45 at Fountain Creek Nature Center for an 8am departure. The hike will be approximately 2 hours. Bring Binoculars if you have them. Hope to see you there!

This past weekend, FOSITW got to hang out at REI and meet fellow nature enthusiasts. There were even several reunions with alumni naturalists! Thanks to everyone who stopped by! 🌲
