Today marks the 20th anniversary of the first mission of SG-1. Let's all take a moment to thank the team that saved Earth and this Galaxy so many times.

In case any of you aren't aware, there's a petition for Netflix to pick up Stargate Universe for a third season. If any of you are interested in seeing the Stargate series continue, now would be the time to sign. Maybe we shouldn't have written Stargate Command on all of the base personnel's car decals. In hindsight, it might not be conducive to keeping the Stargate program a secret. We did make all of those movies and television series to distract the public, so I guess the name's already out there. Hopefully nobody will notice.

Stargate Command will no longer be transmitting records of its activities. Instead, an upcoming series of films will be made using fake actors. While it is a shame the new Stargate films will no longer be accurate and feature real SGC employees such as Colonel Samantha Carter, Lieutenant General Jack O'Neill, Chief Master Sergeant Walter, and many others, the NID has decided it would be better to stop televising actual military operations and substitute actors for actual SGC personnel. Stargate Command has always been about diversity. We've employed and worked with several alien individuals and helped spread freedom throughout three galaxies. It goes without saying that we are proud of the decision our government made yesterday which brought humanity a little bit closer to becoming the Fifth Race.
