Since April 26, the Cimarron Hills Fire Department Academy recruits have been putting in the hard work, long hours, and dedication required to become part of the CHFD team.

Today, we are proud to announce that they have successfully graduated from the Academy! 🎓🚒

Beginning Sunday, they will join our crews on the line and begin serving the Cimarron Hills community.

Congratulations, recruits! Your commitment, perseverance, and determination have brought you to this milestone. We know you will uphold the high standards of the Cimarron Hills Fire Department and continue to serve with professionalism, integrity, and pride.

FIRE RESTRICTIONS LIFTED IN EL PASO COUNTY 🔥

Effective immediately, Stage I Fire Restrictions have been lifted for the unincorporated areas of El Paso County.

We appreciate the cooperation of our community during the recent fire restrictions. Thanks to improved weather conditions, increased moisture, and reduced winds, the restrictions are no longer necessary at this time.

While restrictions have been lifted, wildfire season is far from over. Dry vegetation and changing weather conditions can still create dangerous fire conditions. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and use caution when operating grills, campfires, smoking outdoors, using equipment that may create sparks, or engaging in any activity that could start a fire.

This Memorial Day, we pause to reflect and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it is a time to honor those who stood the line, defended freedom, and never made it home to their families.

From generations past to present day, countless Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen answered the call to serve something greater than themselves. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication will never be forgotten.

Today, as we gather with family and friends under the flag of freedom, we remember those who made that freedom possible.
