The Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments is seeking one volunteer to serve as a citizen-at large representative on its Community Advisory Committee. These memberships are open to all residents PPACG area, which includes El Paso, Teller, and Park counties. The Community Advisory Committee meets monthly on the last Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m. Meetings are hybrid and are held in PPACG’s offices at 14 S Chestnut St, Colorado Springs, CO 80905 and virtually online.

PPACG is accepting comments on the Fiscal Years 2027-31 Transportation Improvement Program through April 12, and will hold a pair of open houses for individuals to ask questions and submit comments. This document is a four-year plan that implements the long-range regional transportation plan’s goals and identifies the specific transportation and transit projects for which the region will allocate its federal funds.

The Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments Board of Directors recognized John Henry during today's meeting for his decades of leadership of Drive Smart Colorado. He was presented with Drive Smart's ceremonial white cowboy hat, presented to individuals who dedicate time and expertise in traffic safety education efforts in the region.

The Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments invites the public to provide comment on the Pikes Peak Region Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. This Safety Action Plan, developed through a grant from the Safe Streets and Roads for All program, reflects a regional commitment to improving traffic-related safety for all roadway users.

These funds are for transportation services designed to improve mobility and meet the needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities in the Colorado Springs Urbanized Area.
