“Shenanigans” at El Paso County Republican Women’s meeting! Chuck O’Broerman shared with us the history of the Irish and Catholics in America. They have impacted our culture in the medical field (hospitals and care facilities), education (Notre Dame, Boston College, Loyola to name a few). Catholicism has also been a part of our political culture as well, with John F Kennedy being the most prominent Catholic US President. Our current FLOTUS, Melania Trump is a Catholic and is strongly involved in philanthropies to help children.

You can also call Senator John Thune, Senate President, (202)224-2321 and urge him to vote yes.

The Legislature is in session currently until May 13, 2026. Colorado citizens have the right to engage with the process. El Paso Clerk & Recorder Schleiker gave us this handout at our last meeting. Please feel free to use this as a guide if you choose to participate in this process.
