We wrapped up the school year the same way we started it, celebrating the incredible people who make Horizon such a special place!

A huge congratulations to Mr. Robbie, Ms. Gehling, and Mrs. Rogers (not pictured) on their retirement! Thank you for your years of dedication, service, and commitment to Horizon students, staff, and families. Your impact will be felt for years to come, and you will be missed.

Horizon PNN 25-26 Broadcast 8 - FINAL Broadcast! PNN Students worked hard on their last special edition broadcast of...

Ms. Lunden's 8th grade math students worked hard the last week of school learning about the Fibonacci sequence. They watched videos to learn how math is integrated in all forms of life, followed a tutorial on how to draw the perfect Fibonacci spiral, and researched ideas to complete a final drawing that represented the Fibonacci spiral for a drawing contest. The contest was voted on by staff and the results were well deserved! Congratulations to Charlotte Kittidumrongkool for her 1st place drawing of how a wave moves in a Fibonacci spiral, to Olivia Weiss for her 2nd place drawing of a Koi fish swimming in a Fibonacci spiral, and to Abbey Buford for her 3rd place drawing of a cat snuggled up in a Fibonacci spiral!

Our Staff Appreciation with Twisted Soda was rescheduled due to weather - we also had a secret staff dress up day and wore PJ's! Students were able to order after school the line was LONG!

The HMS Orchestra, Band and Choir competed at the Music in the Parks Contest last Saturday, May 16th and then enjoyed time at the Elitches Amusement Park. The Band and Orchestra both scored the top Superior rating which earned the Band 1st Place in their category and an Overall Trophy, and the Orchestra 3rd Place in their category. Choir earned an Excellent rating! We are so proud of our music programs and how our students represented our school!

Woohoo! This was just released!!! We were awarded DIAMOND School of Distinction! Thank you to our amazing Staff who show up and out to recognize our students! We are the ONLY middle school in the country to earn this level!! To our students and staff- we hear you, see you and love you! What a way to close out the 25-26 School Year!
