The Newport Rodeo in Newport, Washington proudly supports the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund through local fundraising, product donations, and volunteer support—helping provide injured rodeo athletes a hand up, not a hand out.
Rooted in the Pend Oreille River Valley, the rodeo traces its beginnings back to 1935 with local ranchers known as the Hoot Owl Gang. Today, the Newport Rodeo continues that proud tradition, hosting sold-out crowds and earning recognition as one of the top rodeos in the region.
As the summer rodeo approaches its 77th anniversary in 2026, the tradition continues.

A strong crowd, a steep hill, and a long-standing tradition. The Cowboy Downhill is about to begin, and the support is second to none. Nothing better than a sea of people showing up for a one-of-a-kind event and the cowboys brave enough to take the run. Thank you !

Part race. Part wreck. All cowboy.
The Busch Light Cowboy Downhill returns to Steamboat Springs, Colorado this weekend, bringing together some of the best cowboys and cowgirls from professional rodeo for a downhill ski race that’s equal parts speed and spectacle. It’s a Steamboat tradition—unpredictable, entertaining, and always a good time.
Best of all, the event benefits the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund, supporting rodeo athletes and their families when they need it most.
Head to Steamboat this weekend and check it out.
