The big day is almost here!! We can't wait to see you all at our 50th Anniversary tomorrow! It's going to be amazing!

Attention everyone! We would like to get an RSVP from you all so we know what are numbers are looking like for the 23rd. You DO NOT need to RSVP for the dance, but if you plan on coming to the Open House, Assembly or Reception, can you please let us know by commenting below with the number of people in your party? We would really appreciate it!!

Welcome to our new members!! Just so you don't have to search, here is a rundown of the events for our Anniversary celebration. We hope to see you all there!!

Join us as we celebrate 50 years as one of the first elementary schools in Academy School District 20.
Friday, January 23, 2015

Open House: 10:00-2:00 in our library.
View past photos, slide show, and memorabilia, sign our guest book and visit the current building.

Assembly: 2:30-3:30 in our gym.
Former faculty, administrators and families are invited to be our honored guests as we stroll down memory lane with song, photo slide show, comments from guests and the creation of a time capsule.

Reception: 3:30-4:30 in our cafeteria.
Mountain View Alumni are invited to a reception with cake and punch.

Family Dance “Through the Decades”: 5:30-8:00pm in our gym.
A family event for current students and their families to dance the evening away to fun and upbeat music that will transcend the 5 decades Mountain View has been in session.

We are on a search for MVE photos from years past!! We would especially love pictures from the 60's, 70's and 80's. If you have any, please email them to [email protected] or drop them off at the MVE office. They will be returned to you! :)

Out of all the pictures I've seen for our slideshow, this one is by far my most favorite! The staff at MVE has always had some GREAT fun! Best staff in the world!

Mountain View has had MANY, MANY administrators over the last 50 years... besides Ms. Hooper and Mr. Hain, can you name 5?! Bonus points if you go back to previous decades (like the 60's!).

Until Mountain View moved into their new building and became part of the SILT strand, they were officially known as the Mountain View Hornets!

1960's... Kids appear to be REALLY well behaved back then! 😉

Did you know that Mountain View wasn't always the home of the Mountain Lions?! Who knows what our previous mascot was? Bonus points if you know what year we changed to the Mountain Lions! 😃
