Exciting News! Last night, the House Transportation and Local Government committee advanced HB24-1304, my bill to roll back mandatory parking minimums in many parts of the state, and tasks the Department of Transportation with developing data and tool sets that will improve parking in our communities.
There is no such thing as free parking. These mandates drive up construction costs and limit our ability to create abundant choices in housing and transportation. Forcing over-supply of parking also drives up vehicle miles traveled and contributes to higher emissions. Repealing them will help us meet Colorado's ambitious greenhouse gas reduction goals.
Many thanks to my fellow House prime sponsor Rep. Woodrow and all our hardworking stakeholders, both for and against the bill, who've contributed to such a robust dialogue on this issue.

Thank you so much to Senator Michael Bennet for meeting us in Washington D.C!
We had an extremely enlightening conversation about the future of A.I, future of innovative water conservation projects in Colorado, environmental efforts on pipelines, trading in Latin America and other topics.
He also gave us a fun story about an interaction with Barack Obama that we never would have heard
We also wanna thank him for the private tour he set up for us that took us below the capital that is usually exclusively reserved for Senators and high profile guests!

We are happy to announce that we will be supporting Tim Kubik for State Party Chair. Tim recently traveled down to UCCS to visit with our club leadership and UCCS Student Government to share his vision for how young people fit into his campaign and the future of the Democratic party. We encourage El Paso County voting members to vote for Tim to best represent youth interests in the state Democratic Party.

This man was forced to give his dog to the Humane Society due to undergoing lengthy hospital stay.
This nurse found out and immediately went to the shelter and adopted his dog.
She brings him to visit daily and will return him as soon as the man is released!❤️
