5th grade wrapped up Opinion Paragraph week with a little bit of absurdity!

Students were given an β€œabsurd claim” that was unrealistic and probably not going to happen at school. Their job was to defend their claim, even if they didn’t actually agree with it, by using logical and appropriate reasons with examples to convince their reader to agree with them.

They had so much fun getting creative with their claims while practicing important opinion writing skills like making a strong claim, giving reasons, and supporting their thinking! πŸ§ πŸ“βœοΈ
