Working smoke alarms save lives!

Did you know? The structure fire death rate is 60% lower in homes with working smoke alarms than in homes with no alarms or alarms that didn’t operate.

That's why we’re partnering with the American Red Cross to offer free smoke alarms for owner-occupied homes in Columbia Heights.

This program is intended for households that cannot afford to purchase alarms or are physically unable to install them. Requests are subject to eligibility, available alarms, program resources, service area, and scheduling.

Do you need smoke alarms for your home? Learn more and apply: cohi.mn/freesmokealarms
