🍎 Every Role Matters: Serving More Than Meals

During National School Lunch Week, we are celebrating CBSD’s Food Services team and the care they bring to students each day.

From early-morning preparation and food-safety checks to fresh meal options and welcoming serving lines, this dedicated team helps ensure students have the nutritious meals they need to learn and grow. This year, Park Elementary’s Food Services staff is also bringing a fun carnival theme to the week, making mealtime even more exciting for students.

Thank you to our entire Food Services team for the hard work, creativity, and teamwork you bring to our schools every day. ❤️🤍

Today, CBSD celebrated Walk or Roll to School Day—a reminder of the importance of safe, active routes to school.

We are especially grateful for our crossing guards, who show up each day to help our students and families safely get to and from school. Their care, attention, and presence make a meaningful difference in our community.

Pedestrian safety is a shared responsibility. Whether you are walking, biking, driving, or rolling through town, please stay alert, slow down near schools and crosswalks, follow traffic laws, use designated crossings, and always follow the directions of crossing guards.

Thank you to our crossing guards for helping keep our Crimson Tide students and families safe every day! ❤️💛

📚 Every Role Matters: Supporting Teachers, Strengthening Learning

Today, we also want to celebrate Dr. Jodie Parkinson, CBSD’s Instructional Coach, and the important role she plays in helping teachers and students succeed.

Dr. Parkinson helps ensure district curriculum is in place, and that teachers have the resources they need to support strong instruction. Through collaboration, encouragement, and instructional support, she partners with teachers to explore new strategies, reflect on their practice, and create meaningful learning experiences for students.

Her work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact reaches classrooms across CBSD every day. By supporting teacher growth and curriculum implementation, Dr. Parkinson helps strengthen learning for all students.

Thank you, Dr. Parkinson, for your expertise, partnership, and commitment to CBSD schools for the past 12 years. ❤️🤍
