We discussed the three state constitutional amendments at our meeting on Wednesday.

We did not take a vote on endorsing or opposing any of those amendments, so Democrats are free to vote according to their conscience.

We note that many good progressive organizations (such as the Tennessee NAACP State Conference and Tennessee ACLU), Democratic state senators, and several of our sister county Democratic parties are encouraging NO votes on all three amendments.

We encourage all voters to look at each amendment carefully and use critical thinking. Remember that the Republicans have now been in control of everything for a dozen years!

State Representative Scott Cepicky (HD-64) and Kip Capley for State Representative (HD-71) were both cosponsors of the ELVIS Act, the 2024 law protecting artists that Marsha Blackburn's bizarre "Kendrick Lamarsha" video allegedly violates.

We've known for years that Marsha Blackburn and Ward Baker are corrupt. The latest whistleblower only further confirms what ordinary Tennesseans have seen every day.

And that's why we are enthusiastically supporting Jerri Green, because she's the strongest, most experienced candidate to defeat Marsha and her cronies. 💚💙

Early voting continues today from 8 am to 4 pm at 1207 Tradewinds Drive in Columbia. Tomorrow (Saturday) from 8 am to noon. Early voting ends on October 29. Election Day is November 3.

Please go vote, and remember to cast your ballot for Jerri, and the Democratic ticket.

Good morning everyone. It's Monday, October 12th.

We have 22 days until Election Day.

Here is how you can help elect Democrats this week:

1. We will be doing phone banking at 207 West 6th Street in Columbia today 10/12 at 6 pm.

2. There will be a meet and greet today for Chaz Molder on Tuesday 10/13, at 5:30 p.m
at 207 West 6th Street in Columbia.

3. Our monthly meeting will be Wednesday 10/14 at 6:30 p.m, at the Maury County Senior Citizens Center.

4. We will be doing canvassing on Thursday 10/15 at 5 p.m.; please come to 207 West 6th Street to help.

5. We will be canvassing on the afternoon of Sunday, 10/18 at 1 pm and 4 pm. You guessed it, 207 West 6th Street.

6. EARLY VOTING starts on the morning of Wednesday, 10/14, at 8 a.m. You can early vote at the Maury County Election Commission from 8-4 during the week and 8-noon on Saturday (no voting on Sundays).

7. We need a couple of volunteers to help audit election machines on the afternoon of Thursday 10/15, at the Maury County Election Commission.

8. We need folks to serve as poll workers (paid election staff) and poll watchers (volunteer observers).

9. Various campaigns will be doing their own events. For example Justin J. Pearson for Congress is knocking doors on Saturday mornings and Matt Day for District 71 is also. Molder for Congress will have a tent at the Election Commission. Please reach out to the campaigns for more information.

10. There will be a No Kings Protest to encourage voting from 10-noon on Saturday, 10/17 in Columbia.
There will also be a sign-making party on the evening of Thursday 10/15 for that.

11. Finally, there is a mayoral candidate forum hosted by the Maury County NAACP and Carmack Boulevard Church of Christ at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, 10/18 at the Carmack Boulevard Church of Christ. Please reach out to Maury County NAACP #5584 for details.
