☀️ It’s going to be hot!☀️
After a stretch of milder weather, today marks our first real hot day of the season with temperatures climbing into the 90s and heat index values of 108 expected. We want YOU to stay SAFE!
Heat Safety Tips:
💧Drink plenty of water even if you don’t feel thirsty. It is difficult to catch up once you have become dehydrated.
🏃♀️Limit outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day (10 AM – 4 PM). Seek air-conditioned spaces when possible.
❄️Check on loved ones, especially the elderly, young children, and those with health conditions. Make sure they have AC or a cool place to go.
🚗Never leave children or pets in a vehicle, even for a minute. Temperatures inside a vehicle can become deadly fast.
🌡️Know the signs of heat stress. Dizziness, nausea, rapid heartbeat, or confusion? Get to a cool place and seek medical help right away.
