In September of last year during “82 Counties in 82 Days,” I had the pleasure of meeting Itawamba County Deputy W.J. Patterson. Some people leave an impression on you, even after just one meeting, and Deputy Patterson was one of those people.

I remember how much his passion for serving others and his love for Itawamba County stood out to me. You could tell that serving his community was more than just a job to him.

I am saddened to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to his family, friends, fellow deputies, and everyone who knew and loved him. Praying for comfort and strength in the days ahead.

Always a good time at Johnny Crane’s Cabin (aka Bull Bottom) on Bull Mountain Creek! Enjoyed catching up with everyone and spending the evening with good friends.

Also big thanks to my cousin Stacey Russell for cooking up a great pot of gumbo for everybody! Hard to beat it.

Heartbroken over the loss of Mississippi Highway Patrol’s Landon Murphy. At such a young age, he chose a life of service to his state, and that says so much about the kind of person he was. A true hero gone far too soon.

Life is precious, and we never know how much time we have. Praying for his wife, family, friends, and fellow officers during this time.

Great lunch today at the 18th Annual Vision Awards Celebration hosted by the Madison County Business League & Foundation and the Madison County Economic Development Authority!

Enjoyed hearing from U.S. Senator Roger Wicker and celebrating the people and businesses making a difference in Madison County.

Congratulations to all of today’s award recipients and the incoming president!

What a great evening last night! We had an incredible turnout, and I’m so thankful for everyone who came out and spent the evening with us!

A big thank you to Brad and Colby for graciously opening their home and hosting, and to Governor Phil Bryant for joining us, speaking, and continuing to support our campaign.

Excited about the momentum we’re building as we continue working toward 2027. We’re just getting started!

There is no crime more evil than the exploitation of a child, and the people who commit it count on staying hidden.

At the Department of Public Safety, our investigators have worked to track down human traffickers and get sexual predators off the streets. Much of that work happens alongside the Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which brings nearly 90 law enforcement agencies together to find the people who use phones and computers to target kids.

Our agents have worked those operations side by side with the task force, and as Attorney General, I intend to continue giving every resource and all the backing it needs. Anyone who preys on a Mississippi child should expect to be found and prosecuted to the fullest extent the law allows.

Glad I had the chance to stop by the Parkway Community Center Grand Opening and First Responder Luncheon!

Appreciate Pastor Dillon and everyone involved for recognizing the men and women who serve and protect our communities every day.

Always good to spend time with our first responders and thank them for all they do!

What a wonderful evening at the Mississippi Business Alliance’s Inaugural Business Forward Gala last night!

A special thank you to Governor Phil Bryant and BSS Global for inviting me to join their table. It was an honor to be there as Governor Haley Barbour was recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award and hear from POLITICO’s Jonathan Martin.

Great company, good conversations, and a wonderful night celebrating Mississippi!

BSS Global was honored to attend the Mississippi Business Alliance Inaugural Business Forward Gala and celebrate Governor Haley Barbour as he received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Congratulations to Governor Barbour on this well-deserved recognition of his leadership and lasting contributions to Mississippi!

We were also pleased to have Sean Tindell join us at our table for this special evening.

Congratulations, Commissioner Bo Luckey!

I’ve had the opportunity to watch you lead Capitol Police since the agency was brought under the Mississippi Department of Public Safety and see firsthand how tremendously you’ve grown it.

It’s been the honor of my lifetime to serve as Commissioner of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, and I couldn’t be more excited to see you take on this role. I know DPS is in great hands, and I look forward to seeing all that you accomplish!
