School's Out Day Camp is Here! No school on October 16 or 30? No problem! Bring your kids to the ARC for a full day of fun from 8 am to 5 pm. We've packed the day with arts and crafts, sports, STEAM challenges, team building games, and swimming. It's the perfect way to turn a day off school into an adventure with friends.

Ages 6-12 | $35 per day

October 16: Special activity-ARC Halloween Window Painting
October 30: Field Trip to Peach Tree Farms
Place: ARC
Time: 8 am-5 pm
Price: $35 per participant

What to Bring: Pack a lunch, a water bottle, and a swimsuit with a towel. Since we'll be staying active all day, please send your child in sneakers and clothes they can move in.

Little Gymmers & Little Swimmers alike are invited to the ARC for Halloween fun!

From 10 AM - 11 AM we'll be hosting a trick-or-treat in the gym. For just $2 per kiddo, little ones can come in costume, collect candy, and enjoy playtime in the gym!

From 11 AM - 12 PM, join us at the pool for a splashy trick-or-treat! This session is also just $2 per kiddo, and families are welcome to sign up for both, for a full morning of Halloween fun, or whichever their little one would prefer.

Each event will have ARC staff present, handing out candy and supervising the area. Parents are asked to accompany little ones for the entire duration of the event. Register in advance at CoMo.gov or by calling 573.874.7700.

While school's out, come play for the day at the ARC!

This month on October 16th & 30th, as well as November 2nd & 3rd, 6-12 year old youth are invited to spend their day off school at the ARC. Priced at $35 per kid, this fun-filled day runs from 8 AM - 5 PM, complete with arts & crafts, sports, and games! We're hiring! We're looking for a Full-Time Morning Custodian and a (part-time) Lead Facility Attendant.

Our Full Time Morning Custodian will work Wednesday-Sunday, 5 am - 1:30 pm. The salary minimum to midpoint range is $15.53-$19.10/hr or $32,302-$39,728 annually; commensurate with training and experience. This is a fully benefited position including health insurance, paid time off, paid pension and additional retirement options and ARC membership. Applicants should expect to complete general cleaning, deep cleaning, and light maintenance duties at the Activity and Recreation Center. Cardio and Strength Orientation + Youth dates are now available for the fall!

Minimum age for ARC 2nd floor equipment (excluding the track) is 14 years old without a parent & youth members 12-13 years old must take orientation class and be accompanied by a parent. During orientation, certified staff will instruct on proper technique, muscle groups, training goals and safety. Pre-register your family today for $10 per participant on any of the following dates:

Thursday, September 24th.
Tuesday, October 20th.
Wednesday, November 18th.
Thursday, December 17th.
All sessions are held at the ARC in the evening, from 5:30 - 6:30 PM.

Underwater Hockey is back!

Join us for our next session on Fridays, September 18-25, 7:15 PM - 8:15 PM at Hickman High School. Underwater Hockey is like hockey, but with the added twist of being underwater! Beginners are welcome, and training is provided for anyone eager to learn. Open to swimmers of all ages and skill levels. Can't make the September session? We'll also have sessions Oct 9-23, Nov 6-13, Jan 15-29, & Feb 12-26.

This month marks the start of a new gym schedule for our gymnasium! Major changes include:
Little Gymmers on the South Court on Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10 - 11 AM
Homeschool P.E. on the South Court on Tuesdays & Thursdays, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
To accommodate these changes, Pickleball and Basketball hours have increased slightly on Mondays & Wednesdays, and decreased slightly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our private swim lessons waitlist is now open!

These lessons are available for any level of swimmer. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, our instructors will help you improve your skills with one-on-one supervision. Lessons are provided in six 30-minute increments, and limited times are available. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
