Boone Health EMS visited a Troop 121 Scout meeting to teach scouts about first aid and emergency response. They explained what EMS professionals do when arriving at an emergency scene and how those same principles can be applied to injuries that may occur during campouts or other outdoor adventures.

Scouts also had the opportunity to tour an ambulance, learn about the equipment and tools EMS professionals carry, and discover how each is used to provide emergency care. It was a great hands-on learning experience that helped scouts build valuable first-aid knowledge and outdoor safety skills!

Friday Night Lights! 🏈

Boone Health EMS is proud to partner with Columbia Public Schools, Tolton, Centralia, Hallsville, and Harrisburg schools to provide medical coverage throughout the high school football season.

Every Friday night, our crews are stationed at local football games to provide immediate care for athletic injuries, illnesses, and medical emergencies. In addition to providing medical coverage at these events, our teams continue to uphold our commitment to providing 911 emergency services across the community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support our local schools, student-athletes, and communities throughout the football season!

You may notice our crews looking a little different this October. In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re adding a little pink to our uniforms to show support for the women, families, survivors, and loved ones in our community affected by breast cancer.

It’s a small change to our usual uniform, but one that carries a lot of meaning. We’re proud to wear pink this month in support of those impacted by breast cancer. 🎀
