💐 Blooming with Creativity! 🌸

What a wonderful morning of floral arranging at the Senior Center! 🌷

For many of our seniors, this was their very first time creating a floral arrangement, and the excitement and pride they felt in their beautiful creations was priceless! Each arrangement was unique, and everyone left with something lovely to enjoy at home.

A special THANK YOU to Sandi Brickhouse Smith for sharing her time, expertise, and gorgeous flowers with us! You helped make this such a fun and memorable experience.

🌼 Who knew we had so many budding florists among us? 💕

🩷💙 Today is a very special day to me! 💙🩷

Today, October 13th, is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, a day that holds a special place in my heart. 🩷

I am beyond thankful for my wonderful seniors who showed their love and support by wearing pink and blue in honor of this important day.

This journey is not an easy one, but it has taught me the true meaning of faith, strength, courage, and love. Even on the difficult days, God continues to remind me that I am not walking this journey alone.

To my amazing seniors, thank you for standing with me. Your love means more than words can express! 💕

My journey is my testimony, and God is still writing my story! 🙏🏽🩷💙

🎉💚 EXCITING NEWS! WE'RE TERRIFIC IN TYRRELL! 💚🎉

Look who's making headlines! 📰👏🏽

We are beyond excited and honored to have the Tyrrell County Senior Adult Activity Center featured in the North Carolina Senior Center Alliance (NCSCA) Summer/Fall 2026 Newsletter! 🥳

Our feature, "TERRIFIC IN TYRRELL," highlights what makes our center so special — great food, friendly competition, laughter, fellowship, and, most importantly, our AMAZING seniors! ❤️

This recognition may seem small to some, but to us, it means so much! It reminds us that even in our little corner of North Carolina, BIG things are happening in Tyrrell County! 🌟

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our wonderful seniors, dedicated staff, volunteers, and community supporters. YOU are the reason we continue to shine!

Great week so far!

Monday...🎨 Creativity was in full bloom! 🌸

Our seniors enjoyed a wreath art project with Izzy, artist-in-residence from Pocosin Arts! Everyone added their own personal touch to their wreaths. No two were alike!

A big thank-you to Izzy for sharing her time and talents with us! ❤️

Wednesday...☕🚓🚒 A Morning with Our First Responders!

Yesterday we enjoyed a coffee chat with Officer Frank from the Tyrrell County Sheriff’s Office. He shared about his law enforcement background, listened to the seniors’ questions & concerns, and offered tips on ways to make their homes safer.

Afterward, Lee and Devin from the Tyrrell County Volunteer Fire Department stopped by to talk about fire safety and even took the seniors outside for an up-close tour of one of the fire trucks! 🚒

We are so thankful for the men and women who give their time and talents to help keep Tyrrell County safe. ❤️
