💙 TAKE ACTION THURSDAY
WHO'S WATCHING OUT FOR MISSOURI TAXPAYERS?

Missouri's State Auditor serves as a taxpayer watchdog, examining public spending and holding government accountable.

In an October 19 KY3 interview, Democratic candidate Quentin Wilson outlined his approach to the office through three principles:

INSIGHT — Understand what financial data reveals.
OVERSIGHT — Hold government accountable for spending.
FORESIGHT — Identify financial risks before problems escalate.

Wilson, a former Missouri Department of Revenue leader, believes the office can strengthen accountability without additional funding. He also questioned state spending and tax cuts amid Missouri's budget challenges.

Wilson faces Republican incumbent Scott Fitzpatrick and Libertarian Dustin Coffell on November 3.

WHY THIS MATTERS:

The State Auditor plays an important role in government transparency and responsible spending. Knowing what this office does helps voters make informed decisions.

🗳️ TAKE ACTION THURSDAY CHALLENGE:

1. Read the KY3 article.
2. Learn what Missouri's State Auditor does.
3. Make your voting plan for November 3. No-excuse absentee voting began October 20.

💬 What should Missouri's next State Auditor prioritize?

John has done a poor job as a legislator. He voted for elimination of the state income tax and then when we voted it down, he doubled down on it as being a good idea. This shows me he thinks he knows better then we do. He voted to gerrymander our county which caused all kinds of confusion until the Missouri Supreme Court had to step in 3 times to say the new gerrymandered map was not lawful. He did this to unlawfully gain one more Republican seat to US congress. This move would have disenfranchised Democratic voters, but he doesnt care about being fair. He got involved with Hallsville school and pressured the community to fire two good teachers....he stirred the pot instead of trying to reduce tensions. He says he lives in the district but only has a address in the district. He continues to live in Rocheport. He has voted for school vouchers which hurts the schools in the rural areas of Boone. He may be a nice guy, but this is just not working.
