From the Columbia Fire Department:

Please join us in congratulating Assistant Fire Chief Eric Caszatt on his retirement following over 25 years of honorable service to the Columbia Fire Department and the citizens of Columbia!

Assistant Fire Chief Caszatt began his career with CFD in the spring of 2001. During his 25 years with CFD, he advanced through the ranks, serving as Firefighter, Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, Battalion Chief, Division Chief and, in 2024, was promoted to Assistant Fire Chief. Additionally, he served as the commander of the Honor Guard and on multiple Special Operations Teams. Entering emergency medical services in 1992, Chief Caszatt served as a paramedic and volunteer firefighter throughout mid-Missouri, including working as a flight paramedic, leading to more than 34 years of service to the community. Chief Caszatt concludes his career as the senior member of CFD and having served more than nine years on the Command Staff.

We are deeply grateful for your service to the department and community as a whole, and congratulate you on your retirement, Chief Caszatt!
