If you or someone you know needs some support with groceries, please share.
Our Pantry Boxes are ready!! Each week we provide a variety of fresh, frozen, canned, and staple foods.
Many of our neighbors lack access to consistent fresh food earning our community the designation of “food desert.” Without access to healthy food, we are more likely to develop cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and suffer from obesity – health conditions that also make them more susceptible to diseases like the coronavirus.
At Sankofa we’re working to transform our reality and our community. Our food pantry boxes are just one way we’re building a healthier community for generations to come!
Contact us at [email protected] or 504-872-9214 to get your box today!

While it is convenient for borrowers to have the loan signing agent (LSA) come to your home to do the signing, it also adds increased risk and exposure to all parties. As a borrower, please consider identifying a neutral location near your home where the LSA can conduct the signing. Under normal circumstances, most LSAs are happy to accommodate borrowers in their homes, during a pandemic, it is anxiety producing.
Also, if you have pets, let the LSA know in advance and please put your pets in a kennel or in another room during the signing.
