Summertime Fun at the Library!

It’s almost here! Summer Reading Challenge starts Thursday, June 1. That’s when you can sign up at any of our 23 locations or online at columbuslibrary.org/summerreading. You can earn prizes and raffle entries for tracking your reading all summer long.

Don’t forget: Our Kickoff Celebration is Saturday, June 3 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Main Library (96 S. Grant Ave.). We’ll have loads of family fun with music from The Shazzbots, games, activities and refreshments. Also, check out the amazing LEGO® display by the Columbus chapter of OhioLUG (Ohio LEGO® User Group), May 20-Aug. 5.

Fairmoor Families!!! Please come out and support our Fairmoor Girls on the Run!!! Fairmoor has the most girls running this race and they need our support from the sideline. Cheering them on and supporting them.

When: Sunday, May 21, 2023 Activities area opens at 8:00 AM; 5K start time is 9:30 AM

Where: John F. Wolf Columbus Commons (160 S High St, Columbus, OH 43215). A map of the 3.1 mile course and the event area will be on our website at this link: https://bit.ly/GOTR5KMAP

If you want to participate in the 5K event with your GOTR you need to register! The girls and volunteer coaches DO NOT need to be registered for the 5K event. If you or someone you know would like to run with your GOTR or H&S girl, they must register for the event! Click here to be directed to the registration page.

Preferred parking for the event is at the Columbus Commons at two garages: The Main Garage and the Underground Garage.

Please prepare to enter the Main Garage at 54 east main street.

The Rich Street entrance will not be accessible. The Underground Garage is located at 191 South Third Street, with an entrance off of Third Street, between State and Rich Streets. PARKING IS $5 CASH UPON ENTRY. Fairmoor Elementary School

Gentle Reminder!! Scholars are not allowed to have cell phones out while in school. All cell phones are to remain in their backpacks until the end of the school day. Any scholar that is seen with a cell phone out during school hours Principal Perry will confiscate the phone and a parent will have to come to the school and pick it up.

Reminder: Tomorrow is 30-minute early release for our students. Friday April 7th NO SCHOOL. No School April 10th- April14th Due to Spring Break

Fairmoor 1st Annual Prince and Princess Ball.

Greetings Fairmoor Families!

Thank-you to all the families who have RSVP'd for our 1st annual Prince and Princess Ball scheduled for Friday, March 31st from 6:00-8:00pm.

Due to the overwhelming response, we were required to switch the venue location to a larger venue that was able to accommodate all guests. The new location is the Columbus Athenaeum Theatre, located at 32 North 4th Street Columbus, Ohio 43215.

Golden Tickets have been sent home for all families who RSVP'd by the deadline. Please check your child's bookbags for your golden ticket. The golden ticket will be required for entry into the theatre. Your golden ticket will list the names off all RSVP'd guests in your household, as well as your assigned dinner service time. Due to the large number of RSVP'd guests, we had to split dinner service to accommodate everyone.
