2025 CERT training completed 4-5 October 2025. 27 students completed the course. 1 Franklin County EMA student, 24 Ohio Wing cadets and senior members and 2 senior members of the Michigan Wing.
Training completed: Disaster preparedness, fire safety and fire extinguisher, disaster medical triage and treatment, light search and rescue, cribbing, interior building search, hazard recognition, Stop the Bleed and hazardous materials awareness.
The favorite exercise for most of the students was the firefighter maze. Learn how to get out of a building during a collapse and recognize the dangers along the way. In the dark.
A team situational training exercise (STX) was completed on day 2. Team knowledge of the class was put to the test during a simulated disaster.
