Columbus’ only domestic violence shelter near capacity Last year, nearly 40% of all homicides were domestic violence related, according to Columbus police.

Our kids in shelter have been getting their hands dirty in the best way — planting flowers and herbs and helping bring a little extra beauty and growth to their space. 🌱🌼

We honor the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Men can also be victims of intimate partner violence. It is estimated that 1 in 4 men will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. At our shelter, all survivors are welcome.

Thank you to Linworth United Methodist Church for donating a delicious meatloaf meal as well as hygiene kits. Our residents are so appreciative!

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible partners and supporters who spent their evening planting beautiful flowers in our courtyard. The healing garden creates a peaceful and welcoming space for the survivors and families we serve each day, and we are so grateful to those who share their time, care and expertise to make it even more inviting and beautiful.

About 30 mothers enjoyed a beautiful and relaxing Mother’s Day celebration at our shelter, made possible by the kindness of our amazing staff, volunteers and community partners. A special thank you to the team from Victoria's Secret for donating products and helping mothers create personalized goodie bags filled with lotions, fragrances and beauty items. Thank you also to Boss Gal Beauty Bar for donating beauty products, and to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral for providing delicious desserts and tea. It was a truly special day of pampering, encouragement and care for the incredible mothers we serve. 💜

Our amazing children’s team spent the week helping kids in shelter create special Mother’s Day gifts filled with love. School-age children planted flowers and made door signs and cards, while our youngest children created sweet butterfly handprint and footprint keepsakes. 💐🦋
