Had a great tour of MAHLE with my friends from IUE-CWA! It was wonderful to see the work that takes place there and meet some of the dedicated staff who make it all possible. I’m grateful for the hard work and dedication they bring every day, not only making a difference locally l, but also have an impact on a national level. Thank you to everyone who took time to show us around and share the important work being done at MAHLE!

This past Saturday, I joined several young people from across Ohio for a press conference in support of Senate Bill 333, which would establish a Statewide Youth Council within the Office of the Governor. The Council would advise the Governor and state legislature on key issues that directly impact young people.

Young people make up 21% of our population, but 100% of our future! Their voices, perspectives, and experiences deserve to be heard when decisions are being made that affect their lives and their future.

Other states have already established statewide youth councils to ensure young people have a seat at the table. Ohio has an opportunity to do the same and empower the next generation to shape the policies that impact them.

Let’s work together to make Ohio the next state on that list!

Yesterday, I was honored to serve as the keynote speaker at the Business of Aging event, where this year’s theme was “Housing for a Thriving Community”.

Housing is connected to every aspect of our lives, and ensuring access to safe, affordable, and stable housing requires collaboration at every level. Federal, state, and local governments must work alongside community organizations to support policies that address the needs of our workforce, Ohio’s veterans, and older adults.

The American Dream should not be out of reach for anyone. Together, we must continue working toward policies and partnerships that expand opportunity and help ensure that every person has the opportunity to thrive in the community they call home.

Wawa is officially in Miami Township!

This morning, I had the privilege of attending and speaking at Wawa’s ribbon-cutting ceremony. This new store represents more than $7.5 million investment in our community and will employ about 35 associates, creating jobs right here in Miami Township.

I’m excited to welcome Wawa to the community and I’m proud to have this great establishment in District 6!

This morning, I had the opportunity to visit Greenmont Elementary School in Kettering to interview students interested in participating in the school’s Ambassador Program.

It was great hearing students share their leadership skills, experiences, and reasons for wanting to take on this role.

I’m grateful for another opportunity to be part of this program and to support these young leaders as they grow and develop their leadership skills.
