The U.S Army Infantry Soldier has to become proficient with several tools on the modern battlefield.

Two weapons they will bring to the fight are the M3A1 MAAWS Recoilless Rifle and the M240L Machine gun.

Congratulations to the Soldiers of Bravo Company, 2-29 Battalion, 197th Infantry Brigade on graduating Basic Combat Training yesterday! They are now ready to head to their Advanced Individual Training, and proven that they belong amongst the ranks of the U.S. Army. Join us in wishing them luck in their future professions.

Congratulations to the newest Soldiers of Bravo Company, 2-29 Battalion, 197th Infantry Brigade! Yesterday they received the U.S. Army Patch, signifying that they have joined the ranks of U.S. Army Soldiers past, present, and future. Today they will graduate Basic Combat Training before moving onto their Advanced Individual Training that will develop them into experts in their fields. Please join us in congratulating these brave Soldiers on their achievement!

Congratulations to the Soldiers of Ares Company 2-29 Infantry Regiment and welcome to the ranks of the U.S. Army Infantry! Today they received the coveted Infantry Blue Cord, and tomorrow they will graduate from Infantry OSUT training. Join us in congratulating them on their achievement!

Join us in congratulating the Soldiers of Ares Company 2-29 Infantry Regiment for finishing the Final field training exercise, completing the Bayonet ruck march, and receiving the coveted Infantry crossed rifles at Honor Hill on 23 January 2026.

We look forward to welcoming them to Infantry this week on 28-29 January 2026 for their Turning Blue ceremony and Graduation respectively.

Congratulations to the Soldiers of Bravo Company, 2-29 Battalion, 197th Infantry Brigade for completing the Forge field training exercise this past week. The Forge culminated with the Soldier ceremony. This ceremony recognizes that Bravo company are no longer trainees, but Soldiers of the United States Army and that they are ready for their follow on Advanced Individual Training. These Soldiers will graduate Basic Combat Training on 29 January 2026, at 1pm, and will be located at the National Infantry Museum.
