For our final post of Arts and Crafts week we’re featuring our biggest collection. A collection so big that it couldn’t be moved so Miss Kathy invited us all to her room to view it. Her room is a beautiful display of plants, jewels, paintings, and treasures galore! Thanks for sharing Miss Kathy!

Today’s featured artists are Tom Weibell and Kathy Peterson. Tom spent his career as a broadcaster and now spends his free time creating beautiful pictures with colored pencils. You’ll often find him sketching in a quiet corner or sharing stories of former interviews with our residents.
Kathy has generally hung up her art supplies, but she does enjoy crafting with Kadi (our activities director) and the other residents.

It’s been a fun week at the Claremont Arts and Crafts festival. Today featured Norm with his incredible collection of Hoover vacuums and Dacia who shared her parent’s wartime correspondence.
