The Ohio Narcotics Intelligence Center (ONIC) provides expert digital forensic examinations, criminal intelligence analysis, and case support for Ohio law enforcement in order to identify and disrupt the illicit drug market. ONIC facilitates information sharing and collaboration with law enforcement, addiction services and recovery organizations, and the public to reduce drug overdoses.
ONIC recently hosted the 2026 ONIC Law Enforcement Drug Summit, a 3-day event for law enforcement, prosecutors, and those who work in recovery and outreach. For the first time, ONIC handed out awards honoring exceptional collaboration, communication, and dedication to safeguarding communities across Ohio.

The Ohio Department of Public Safety recognized staff from the Ohio Narcotics Intelligence Center that received International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA) Awards for Excellence in the Individual and Organization Categories from 2025 and 2026.

On May 8th 2026, Keith Miles was found guilty in Clermont County on all charges including involuntary manslaughter and drug trafficking for the fatal drug overdose of Regina Baker. The ONIC assisted the investigation with device and location analysis.

ONIC Forensics & Intel provided support to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office regarding an illegal casino operations investigation, which resulted in approximately 100 suspected illegal slot machines being seized and two people being arrested during a joint investigation with the Ohio Casino Control Commission.
