Coronavirus Pandemic Child Care Information for Providers 06/11/2020

Attention All Child Care Providers!!!

Child care programs were required to notify ODJFS and the county job and family services (JFS) agencies via the Ohio Child Licensing and Quality System (OCLQS) by June 7, 2020 of their intent to reopen. All programs that plan to reopen must enter the date they plan to open into OCLQS.

Any program that has not updated OCLQS by Sunday, June 14, 2020 will be put into temporary closure status by ODJFS. This will end all authorizations for publicly funded child care to your program.

If you have questions about OCLQS functionality please contact the CCIDS Business Unit at 1-877-302-2347, option 1 or by visiting :

While the SUTQ deadline has been moved, supporting high-quality child care is more important than ever. Many providers are not able to serve kids and families right now due to the pandemic; however, they do have the opportunity to use this time to get ahead of the game and take advantage of the free online training that Franklin County is continuing to offer during this time.

At no cost to providers, you can participate in FREE monthly online trainings to help you become or stay Star rated before the new deadline. The training includes 32 hours of Ohio Approved professional development that will help you build your Step Up To Quality registration packet.
