A downtown Columbus holiday tradition since 1931 We respect the holidays and traditions of all faiths and ask that you do the same.

In 1931, State Auto’s founder, Bob Pein, began decorating the company’s downtown Columbus, Ohio, headquarters building as a “Christmas gift to the community.” From a rooftop Santa Town with thousands of lights and hundreds of Christmas trees, to the current display which includes a life-sized Nativity scene, State Auto’s Christmas Corner is recognized around the world for its beauty and attention

This year's second addition to the field of stars at Christmas Corner is a gold star dedicated to Bob Bailey, who retired in 2000 as State Auto's chairman and CEO after a 26-year career with the company. He supported Christmas Corner throughout his tenure, which was highlighted by performances at the annual lighting ceremony by students from what was then State Auto's adopted school, Deshler Elementary. Bob, his wife, Sylvia, and son, Jim, were with us for the lighting ceremony earlier this month.
