It’s Banned Books Week, and this year we’re celebrating something worth protecting: the freedom to read.

From beloved classics to modern bestsellers, books give us the freedom to discover new ideas, see the world through someone else’s eyes, ask uncomfortable questions, laugh, cry, learn, and imagine.

October 4–10, 2026, join us in celebrating the books that have been challenged, questioned, and sometimes banned—and the freedom we all have to decide what we want to read.

Because books aren’t meant to be locked away.
They’re meant to be read, discussed, questioned, shared, and enjoyed.
