APLE

a 7-member APLE Board that oversees operations and planning. The APLE Board is elected annually by APLE members and is most effective when it consists of members from various positions of management, public service and support staff. APLE oversees the Staff Relations Committee, which gathers staff concerns and presents them to CML Administration. The APLE president attends all CML Board meetings as a representative of CML staff. APLE has a program to reimburse members for textbooks and workshops. HOW CAN APLE HELP ME? Aside from the numerous services we provide, being active in APLE can benefit your career at CML by demonstrating system-wide teamwork, as well as offering opportunities to work on projects with staff from around the system. It allows you to learn and demonstrate skills that may not be part of your current job duties, which is a benefit when interviewing for a new position. IS APLE A UNION? APLE is not a union. APLE does not have the authority to override CML Board or Administration decisions. APLE works to influence CML policies and procedures but does not set or determine policy.
