Nine months of 2026 complete ✅ Fall is here! 🍁🍂

Some highlights…

🚓-For this months police immersion session we had officers around Reeb for the day! They were able to connect with our Columbus Early Learning kiddos. They taught them about safety, read books together, and even had some fun on the play ground!

❤️-AEP has been a long standing supporter to the Reeb Center! Thanks to the helps of Besa we had 40+ AEP teammembers come in and volunteer around our space giving us a fresh look to some partner rooms, packing Love Kindness kits, and organizing our program spaces! We are beyond grateful!

⛈️- With the help of grants we were able to open storm relief applications at the beginning of the month. We were able to assist over 30 neighbors affected by the storm early August! It was truly amazing to be able to assist our neighbors and help relieve some of the stress caused by the storm.

We are excited for what the fall will bring! 🍁🍂Looking forward to our Trunk or Treat event coming up in October- we better see you there 🎃👻

40+ volunteers. One FULL day. A huge impact.

We’re so grateful to the 40+ AEP Ohio volunteers who spent the day at Reeb beautifying partner spaces, organizing program areas, and packing Love Kindness hygiene kits for our neighbors!

Their hard work supported Columbus Early Learning Centers, Godman Guild Association, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio and helped make our shared spaces even better.

A special thank you to Besa for helping coordinate the day and bring it all together! We’re grateful for partners who continue to show up and invest in our South Side community.

Help us make this year’s Reeb Trunk or Treat a fun and memorable night for South Side families! We’re inviting local businesses, organizations, community partners, and neighbors to join us by decorating a trunk and passing out treats.

The Reeb Center mourns the passing of Donald Walter Kelley, a cherished member of our founding families and a devoted champion of Columbus’ South Side.

Don helped bring together the people and resources needed to open The Reeb Center, creating a place where South Side neighbors could access essential services, support, and opportunities. His generosity and commitment continue to shape our work and the lives of the families we serve.

Don’s parting words to his family were, “Be generous.” His life embodied that message, and his legacy will remain at the heart of The Reeb Center.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Kelley family and all who knew and loved him.

Storm Relief for South Side Residents ❗

The Reeb Center is offering emergency financial assistance for neighbors impacted by the August storms.

The application link will be posted on our website www.reebcenter.org starting at 9am on 9/8. Applications will be open September 8th–10th or until we reach capacity.

Please share and help us spread the word to South Side neighbors who may need support. 💙

Eight months of 2026 complete ✅ Summer is wrapping up! ☀️

Some highlights…

📚- Some of our team was able to assist United Way of Central Ohio with their annual “Stuff the Backpack” volunteer event! We loved being able to be apart of such an amazing event helping to make sure 8000 kiddos have what they need to start the school year off strong! Thank you for having us!

👏🏽- As most of you know, our team is pretty small here at Reeb. We are lucky to have such an amazing team that is constantly celebrating the highs and lows together. From birthdays to baby showers- we are always supporting one another just as much as we support our South Side Neighbors!

⛈️- Although the storm itself is not a very positive highlight, the strength and resilience of the South Side is! A big shout out to our Mid Ohio Food Collective team & Reeb Staff for figuring out a way to continue to serve food during the power outage here in the building. Our neighbors needs are always a priority and we will continue to support in the ways we can!
