What an engaging luncheon with aspiring chef, aspiring military cadet, college student, singer, tri-athlete, christian, etc; all navigating a very complex foster care system with aspirations for greatness! Many thanks to Dr. Daryl and Erika Ellis, Kyndell Ellis and Mr. & Mrs. Aaron Arielle Finney for helping to make this experience extra special.

Approximately three weeks after being informed that one of the agencies we support was out of pampers, a group of young servant leaders with the Springer Summer Academy donated over 900 along with an abundance of wipes, clothes, toys, and various toiletries, back packs, school supplies, gift cards, etc. for older youth. It was such a blessing to witness the energy and unconditional love shown around this effort. Sincere thanks to the leadership of Sally Baker and her team for standing in the gap. To God be the glory!!!

National Foster Care Month 2018 wrapped up with some very kind acts and generosity. We are very grateful for the sweet second graders who came up with a supply drive to show their support. And kuddos to the group of Columbus High School Ambassadors for their strategic efforts and awareness during the month. There's nothing like young servant leaders working in unity with pure hearts for a common goal. And many thanks to the Exchange Club of Columbus for having us as their guest speaker in May then followed up with a check. Those are some mighty kind folks making impact in the community. And a very special thanks to Dr. Tommy Stewart, Jon & Arlene Embola, Elizabeth Contrel, and Dina Watts for their monetary donations and inkind gifts. We count it all JOY for what God has done and continues to do through this open vessell....

Chattahoochee CASA goes above and beyond to make sure the best interest of children in foster care is at the forefront. It was great to support their effort and see advocates from the bench, media, community, and front line all come out for the children!

National Foster Care Month is around the corner! And as a longtime advocate/consultant in the field, I'll be sharing different ways for you to get involved, support, etc. We know that when platforms are provided for children to thrive, they usually THRIVE!! Many thanks to Springer Theater for helping us stand in the gap....We're gearing up to make a few kids smile about summer!

The crisis of child trafficking and exploitation in the U.S. is finally capturing our attention. BUT a crucial part of the story is not being told widespread. A significant number of children who are being bought and sold for s*x are vulnerable children either in "foster care" (on runaway status) or have aged out the system. Keisha is heroic for coming to Columbus and sharing her story to include 42 FOSTER HOMES. One person can make a difference and everyone should try...
S*x trafficking survivor returns to Columbus to educate local educators
Columbus counselors, social workers, law enforcement, and members of the community came together Thursday to hear one woman's powerful story of survival.

They are among the 142 trail blazing students selected from a pool of 1500 applicants to serve on the State School Superintendent's Richard Woods Student Advisory Council. They read the article and reached out to support our foster care and adoption efforts!! Engaging with these servant leaders and future game changers was like a breath of fresh air!!! I look forward to seeing the outcome of their efforts! One person can make a difference and everyone should try. John F. Kennedy

Many Thanks to members of the Gamma Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, and teens for helping restock the closet yesteday! As seasons change, all kids need warm clothes, cozy pjs, basic necessities, etc. And oftentimes, circumstances don't allow foster parents to think about shopping when dealing with a crisis. We simply help stand in the gap with unconditional love, humility, and grace at the forefront.

By the grace of "GOD", we've been able to meet every referral since the beginning of our efforts. And it's our prayer that things work out for the sibling group referral this week involving 3 sisters and 1 brother.
