Happy birthday to The Headquarters and Headquarters Company of the Georgia Army National Guard’s 648th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade which was federally recognized April 20, 2010.

648 MEB BDE CMDR COL Edenfield and BDE CSM Cu***ngs recognized numerous Soldiers from HSC and MCP-OD for outstanding contributions for Annual Training. Georgia Army National Guard CCWO, CW5 Al Hughes hosted the 2nd quarter Warrant Officer Wednesday event at Club Stewart. CW5 Hughes shared recently gained information from various leadership platforms and review boards. Individuals introduced themselves and networked, all over a meal from Thunder Run. HSC conducted promotion ceremony for 6 Soldiers today. We look forward to what these teammates will bring to the Headquarters Company of the Hydra Brigade with increased responsibility. Congratulations to you all.

The 648th MEB held the Brigade Best Warrior Competition this past IDT. There was fierce competition amongst the Soldiers that participated. The MEB is pushing forward to win the state competition as we continue to show that our Soldiers are in the premier brigade of the state!!

MAJ Griffith is assigned to HSC, 648th MEB to our Engineer Cell. He comes from the 48th IBCT with vast knowledge and experience as an engineer. He’s put his talents to use and greatly enhanced our engineers and the hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.
