will be hosting another Civilian Fi****ms Course on June 22, 2026, at the MCSO Admin Building, located at 1000 5th Ave, Columbus, GA. It will also have a range date on June 27, 2026, at the MCSO Range located at 7149 Manor Road (time TBD).

It is on a first-come, first-served basis, and all participants must be able to pass a background check and bring their own pistol. If you have any further questions, please refer to the flyer or contact the MCSO Training Bureau via email.

We won’t stop until the criminals do! On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Collaborative Intelligence Group, in collaboration with the New Jersey State Police, successfully located and arrested wanted fugitive Trevion Scarbrough in Muscogee County. Scarbrough was wanted by the New Jersey State Police on the following outstanding charges:

•Armed Robbery 1st Degree
•Conspiracy to Commit Robbery
•Terroristic Threats
•Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd Degree

The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT) successfully served the felony warrants. Scarbrough was arrested and transported to the Muscogee County Jail without incident. He awaits extradition to New Jersey.

The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to working collaboratively with our partner agencies to ensure Muscogee County is a safer place to live and work for all citizens. Those who commit violence or are involved in criminal enterprise are not welcome in Muscogee County. Not on our watch!
