BWC's special investigations, along with federal and local authorities, uncovered a scheme by Michael Honaker, who claimed physical and cognitive impairments to illegally receive BWC benefits, resulting in over $900K in savings.

In October 2025, Raquana Drumwright pled guilty to Workers’ Compensation Fraud after earning wages over the same time period in which she also received BWC disability benefits. Drumwright paid $21,535.80 in restitution.
