**UPDATE 3:05 PM - Water pressure is being restored - should be back to normal in about a half hour. Thank you for your patience and apologies for the inconvenience.

Public works crews are back on this project today. Customers in east town may experience low/no water pressure until approximately noon today (06/22) while repairs are ongoing.

**UPDATE Work on this project is paused for the remainder of the day today, 06/17/26. We will resume the repair efforts tomorrow morning, 06/18/26, at 8 AM.

City crews will begin working to repair a leaking fire hydrant in east town in the next few minutes. While repairs are ongoing, customers in east town will experience a temporary disruption or loss of water pressure. The repair is anticipated to take a couple of hours. We will update this post once repairs are made and normal pressure is restored.

Please be advised the boil water advisory will remain in effect as a precaution until laboratory testing confirms the absence of biological contaminants in our water supply.

A boil water advisory has been issued by KDHE in connection with the major water leak reported earlier. Please read this press release carefully and exercise caution when using water until the boil water advisory is lifted.

Crews are still actively working to repair the leak and restore water pressure. We are aware that most of the community is completely without pressure at the moment. As soon as updates are available, we will post them. We apologize for the inconvenience.
