Friends and Families of Bounty Hunter Troop Trainees, at last, what you've all been waiting for: Family Day and Graduation Timelines and Locations!

As long as there isn't rain, the B/2-15 CAV Graduation will take place on Brave Rifles Field (see attached Strip Map for directions, or type 'Brave Rifles Field' into the guidon app or your navigation app of choice)!

For Family Day, it will occur in BLDG 4205, Tedford Chapel (The Brigade chapel) at 1000 on Wednesday, 1 APR 2026. You can easily find the building by typing the BLDG number into the guide on app! We will have drill sergeants directing you towards the chapel. Your trainees will be allowed to sign out for the day with you but must be returned no later than 1900.

Our graduation ceremony is set to start at 1000 on 2 APR 2026 at Brave Rifles Field! This will be the same location as the Turning Green ceremony.

If you choose to pre register for your visitors pass online, please be aware that the website may still refer to Fort Benning as Fort Moore. If you face any issues, please reach out to our staff duty and we will assist you as soon as we can!

Lastly, during Family Day Pass, trainees are still NOT authorized to drink, smoke to***co products, or bring contraband back into Bounty Hunter Troop. The Troop Commander reserves the right to recall any Soldier caught violating any standards during their pass, prevent them from walking on Graduation Day, and perform other punitive actions prior to releasing them to their first duty stations. Your trainees are all adults and responsible for their own choices, but we ask you to encourage them to make the right ones, and ask that you not encourage them to indulge in bad habits. Trainees are not authorized to fly home with their families, they must use the flights purchased and authorized by their direct leadership.

Congratulations to you and your trainee, and we thank all of you for supporting your trainee during this major milestone in their lives. Bounty Hunter Troop produces the finest Bradley Crewman in the best Army in the world, and we have ensured your trainees are better prepared than any other privates for their lives in the Army! We hope you will continue to support them moving forward, and we look forwarding to seeing you all on Family Day and at Graduation!!

Class 26-001 completed Basic Combat Training (BCT) a few weeks ago and here are some highlights of their training during weeks 7 and 8! They completed their second field training exercise (FTX II), known as “The Anvil”. This exercise is designed to build a strong foundation while training under pressure and in austere field conditions.

Throughout the week, trainees were challenged both mentally and physically as they learned and practiced foundational Soldier skills. Training events included reaction drills, movement techniques at night, terrain model construction, and land navigation (both day and night). The Troop also completed a 7.5-mile ruck march to the training site, reinforcing endurance and camaraderie.

With each training event the Troop continues to grow stronger, more confident, and more resilient. While there is still much to learn and accomplish, the successful completion of FTX II marks an important milestone to Basic Training.

Training Week 8 focused on building confidence and mental resilience. The week began with the Confidence Tower, where trainees challenged themselves and safely descended under the guidance of cadre.

They then completed the Gr***de Throw, safely employing live M67 hand grenades while demonstrating proper technique and safety procedures. The Troop also strengthened teamwork and trust during a Buddy Team Live Fire, where pairs practiced coordinated movement and clear communication.

With each training event, Class 26-001 continues to grow more capable and confident as they progress toward the completion of Basic Training.

Training Week 3 ✅ Class 26-001 had an eventful week! This week included the completion of CBRN Defense (The Gas Chamber), a Thanksgiving meal, and their first field training exercise (FTX). Upon completion of the FTX, the class rucked 5 miles back to the 2-15 CAV footprint.

In CBRN Defense, the Trainees learn to trust in their equipment as they enter the gas chamber. Here, they learn how to use their protective mask and then experience the use of Tear Gas first hand.

Our Thanksgiving meal is a special moment for the Troop. Served by the Command Team and Senior Drill Sergeants; the meal reflects our commitment to pride, tradition, and taking care of our own.

In FTX 1, Class 26-001 had their first introduction to fieldcraft. They learned foundational military skills ranging from an introduction to drones, moving as a team, and conducting patrol base operations.

We’re looking forward to carrying the positive momentum into Training Week 4!

This week tested their mental and physical readiness and ability to work together under pressure. Cadre are continuing to reinforce foundational and technical skills in preparation for their first field training exercise (FTX): The Hammer. The Trainees are steadfast and holding strong.

We apologize for the delay in our posting but you can expect at least a weekly post covering the training of cycle 26-001!

On 06 November Bounty Hunter Troop conducted the Thunder Run for the Class of 26-001. This is the first event the Trainees experience with us where they face their first physical and team building challenges. They took their first step in their transformation from civilians into Soliders. Over the next 18 weeks, Bounty Hunter Troop cadre will ensure every effort is given towards this goal. Welcome to Bounty Hunter Troop.

For Family Day, the CAV museum will run from (arrive at 1245) 1300-1500 on Wednesday, 13 AUG 2025 at the U.S. Army Armor and Cavalry Collection (Type either 'U.S. Army Armor & Cavalry Collection' or '6078 Bradley Dr, Fort Moore, GA 31905' in your navigation app of choice). Once the museum tour ends, your trainees will be allowed to sign out for their day with you but must be returned no later than 1900.

Our graduation ceremony is set to start at 0900 on 14 AUG 2025 at Brave Rifles Field! Please note, as most of our trainees have been permitted to participate in the Hometown Recruiting Assistance Program (HRAP), they have some special rules depending on where they are going and who they are going with.
Most importantly, it's vital to know that your trainee MUST report to their assigned recruiting station no later than Friday, 15 AUG 2025 if they have been given orders that dictate so. Failure to do so will result in their immediate recall to Fort Benning, GA, where they will face repercussions before being sent to their first duty station. If something happens to prevent this, make sure your trainee contacts his assigned recruiting station and informs them of the issue, and they can inform him of the appropriate actions that they must take to ensure your trainee isn't recalled!

If you choose to pre register for your visitors pass online, please be aware that the website may still refer to Fort Benning as Fort Moore. If you face any issues, please reach out and we will assist you through them as soon as we can!

Lastly, during Family Day Pass, trainees are still NOT authorized to drink, smoke to***co products, or bring contraband back into Bounty Hunter Troop. The Troop Commander reserves the right to recall any Soldier caught violating any standards during their pass, prevent them from walking on Graduation Day, cancel their HRAP orders, and perform other punitive actions prior to releasing them to their first duty stations. Your trainees are all adults and responsible for their own choices, but we ask you to encourage them to make the right ones, and ask that you not encourage them to indulge in bad habits they have broken during their time with Bounty Hunter Troop. Trainees are not authorized to fly home with their families, they must use the flights purchased and authorized by their direct leadership.

Congratulations to you and your trainee, and we thank all of you for supporting your trainee during this major milestone in their lives. Bounty Hunter Troop produces the finest Bradley Crewman in the best army in the world, and we have ensured your trainees are better prepared than any other new privates for their lives in the Army! We hope you will continue to support them moving forward, and we look forwarding to seeing you all on Family Day and at Graduation!!
