Fort Benning AEGD 12-Month Program

Being Army dentists means we get the chance to care for some pretty awesome people here at Fort Benning. We were lucky enough to get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity from one of our amazing patients to fly with them in a UH-60 Black Hawk. Definitely an experience we’ll never forget!

This past weekend our residents presented their research through table clinics at the Hinman Dental Meeting, one of the largest dental conferences in the United States, to fellow dental professionals.

We are back to seeing patients this week but our first week back from holiday leave was dedicated to all things CAD/CAM! We discussed and had hands on practice with a number of topics including
* Prep design
* Anterior restorations
* Staining and glazing techniques
* Shade matching
* Partial coverage restorations
* Cementation procedure
* Immediate dentin sealing

Last week our residents got minimal sedation certified! Part of the certification class was hands-on venipuncture lab with LTC Null at MACH Oral Surgery 💉

🎓 Another chapter closed and a new one begins! On July 18th, we celebrated the graduation of the Fort Benning AEGD Residency Class of 2025. It’s been an honor to watch this group grow in skill, confidence, and character.
