On Wednesday, we hosted our first ever "Refine and Respond: Ohio Interviewer Summit" Forensic Interviewers from all over Ohio were able to come together for training sessions, in-person peer reviews, and networking. Thank you to our trainers Michelle Hasenkamp of The Center for Family Safety and Healing at Nationwide Children's hospital and Jennifer Sherfield of the US Department of Homeland Security. This past Friday, we hosted another of our quarterly membership meetings! This time we heard from Sheri Jones, of SureImpact on the basics of impact measurement, as well as Michelle Hannan of the Salvation Army and Chelsea Gaffey of the Ohio Department of Youth Services who spoke to us about the Human Trafficking Victim Services Matrix. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and today is Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day. Sometimes a simple conversation is all it takes for a child to open up. These talks can be difficult, but they matter. Check in with your child often and remind them that their mental health is important.

The Ohio Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers (ONCAC) is seeking a Programming and Grants Coordinator to support both grant management and program coordination efforts that strengthen services for children and families across Ohio.

This hybrid role includes grant compliance and reporting, coordination of training and technical assistance, and engagement with member centers to support statewide programming.

After a flood that swept through Lancaster in July of 2025 did major damage, Harcum House had to speed up their timeline on finding a new space. With an outpouring of support from the community, Harcum House opened the doors on a new space less than a year later! Here's a look at the space that will help Fairfield County's children heal and grow for years to come. Congratulations to Harcum House!
