St. Luke Military Ministry

of Heroes of Chattahoochee Valley is currently experiencing a slower season for projects and is looking for help to reach more of the veterans in our community. They provide no-cost home repairs, safety modifications, and yard maintenance to military and public safety veterans. To qualify, individuals must be honorably discharged veterans or their spouses, and they must own and occupy their home.

The types of work they can do include minor home repairs, porch and ramp construction, painting, yard clean-up, and safety-related improvements like grab bars or railings. If you know someone in the Chattahoochee Valley who may need their help, please reach out or encourage them to contact them directly.

U.S. Army Garrison Fort Benning has more than 240 kids signed up for Vacation Bible School. 57 volunteers who have signed up, but another 25-30 volunteers are needed. If you would like to volunteer, July 21-25, 8:30am-12:00pm each day or know someone who would be a good volunteer, contact Stephen Paquette at [email protected]. Background checks are required on all volunteers working with kids.

Congratulations to the Collins family on Sean’s promotion to Master Sergeant. Sean serves as the senior medical NCO of the 75th Ranger Regiment. His wife Kelly works in the nursery at St. Luke Columbus and as a substitute teacher at St. Luke School.
