⚠️ Important Update for adults with Ohio Medicaid!
Starting October 1st, lawful immigrants, refugees, and non-citizens with special humanitarian status will no longer be eligible for Medicaid unless they have obtained a green card and completed the 5-year waiting period or qualify for an exemption to the waiting period.
These changes do NOT affect:
- Lawfully residing children and pregnant women under CHIPRA 214
- Those eligible for Non-Citizen Emergency Medical Assistance
- Individuals covered under a CHIP Health Services Initiative
