Bexley City School District Following our mission to Learn with Curiosity. Demonstrate Kindness. Embrace Equity. They have access to a wide variety of courses and extra-curricular programs.

Bexley’s neighborhood schools are the center of a stable, close knit community. Students benefit from the small class sizes that permit personal attention and foster academic excellence. A high level of community involvement characterizes the Bexley school system, which receives considerable support from the nonprofit Bexley Education Foundation. Financial ratings institutions praise Bexley’s sound financial operations, solid voter history and conservative fiscal management. Educating the “whole child” is a core value in Bexley, with the school district invested in programs that enhance the overall wellness of school community members. Unlike most public schools, Bexley has free, all-day kindergarten and foreign language instruction in the elementary grades. Certified professionals teach visual and performing arts throughout the K-12 curriculum. A high percentage of students are involved in extracurricular activities with 75 percent of high school and middle school students participating in at least one athletic activity. U.S. News & World Report and Newsweek magazines have recognized Bexley High School as one of the top public high schools in the country.

🌎♻️ Bexley City Schools is working to reduce food waste and promote sustainability, thanks to the dedication of Food Services Director Julianna Carvi and her team!

With decades of experience in school food service, Julianna has helped introduce several initiatives to minimize waste, including offering students more meal choices, using reusable and biodegradable trays, and partnering with local organizations to put leftover food to good use.

Through partnerships with Columbus Food Rescue and former Bexley teacher Josh Butcher, the district donates surplus food to those in need and repurposes approximately 40–50 gallons of vegetable scraps as chicken feed, keeping that waste out of landfills.

Thank you to Julianna and the entire Food Services team for their continued commitment to sustainability and making a positive impact in our schools and community!
