Thanksgiving is upon us. Most of us will spend time with Family and Friends. There will be feasts, laughter, some tears of remembrance, Football, the first sounds of Christmas songs. There will be Thanksgiving to God for the many blessings of this year and a request for a better year to come. I too will be engaged like wise. I ask that when you can, make a phone call to a Veteran and do that Buddy Check. Make sure they too are well, and have a good meal. If you feel so inclined, say a prayer of Thanksgiving with them. Show them you care. May God bless you and keep you and yours safe this Thanksgiving weekend and God bless America.

đź“· THROUGH THE LENS//NOVEMBER 22, 1918: Soldiers from the 37th Division march in the parade marking the return King Albert into Belgium following the end of World War I. A provisional unit of Buckeye Soldiers from across the division were given the honor of leading the parade into Brussels.

🔍 CONNECTING TO THE COLLECTIONS: The colorized image of a U.S. Army Signal Corps photo is from a glass "Magic Lantern" slide and is part of the 37th Division Veterans Association Collection. The lantern slide was used with a projector that displayed the image in a large format on a screen. The black and white photos were transfered to the glass side and then hand colored by artists. The 37th DVA would display these images taken during the Great War at annual reunions.

It is with much sadness that we report the passing of Butch Ellis. He served on the 37th DVA Board as a director for numerous years and was a staple at 37th DVA/148th Inf Reunions. He will be greatly missed.
