Columbus Water Works Columbus Water Works (CWW) supplies drinking water and provides wastewater treatment services.

Columbus Water Works supplies drinking water and provides wastewater treatment to the Columbus area including Fort Moore as well as parts of Harris and Talbot Counties. As an organization, CWW has a clear vision and mission to not only sustain the current level of service but improve it for future generations. We are reaching for extraordinary heights, setting a goal for ourselves of being the nation's best provider of utility services. This means not only integrating the delivery of safe water and collection of wastewater for the more than 250,000 residents of the Columbus region, but providing future generations with a legacy of responsible environmental stewardship of the middle Chattahoochee River watershed. We are excited about the possibilities, and look forward to working in partnership with you to make Columbus a community among the best!

Keep your yard and water clean this fall!🍂

Fallen leaves may seem harmless until they pile up and block local drainage systems. To keep those cozy autumn vibes going while protecting the environment, here are some cleanup tips you can follow:

1.) Mulch or compost: Use leaves as garden mulch or mow them down for compost. They are packed with essential nutrients that improve soil structure, moisture retention, and fertility.

2.) Protect storm drains: Never rake leaves into storm drains or ditches, as this can clog drainage and sewer systems.

3.) Dispose of them properly: Place leaves in designated bags for collection.

Ever wondered what "CCF" means on your water bill?

Water usage is measured in CCF, which stands for one hundred cubic feet. One CCF equals approximately 748 gallons of water.

Understanding how your usage is measured can make it easier to read your bill and keep track of how much water your household uses.
