The Land Bank was established to improve neighborhoods by returning vacant & underutilized residential & commercial properties into productive assets.

The Land Bank acquired a house that straddled two lots on the far east side. The foundation of the house had collapsed and the basement was full of at least 5’ of water. That house was demolished and both parcels were put up for sale. After a while a buyer came forward to purchase both lots and these doubles were built. The doubles were quickly rented and are now a home for four families.

Congrats to the Central Ohio Community Land Trust on the construction of their 200th affordable home. It great to see how they've grown to such a level and we're excited to see the next 200 homes they create around the area. This celebration took place at a house built on a Land Bank lot by Habitat for Humanity - MidOhio with students from Ft. Hayes that were there to learn a trade. Looks like a success all the way around and we can't wait to see the next one going up.

The Gertrude Wood Community Foundation - Community Development has been a long time partner with the Land Bank in helping create affordable housing options in the Driving Park area. Here are some great photos they posted of a modular duplex being boomed into place on a former Land Bank empty lot. We can't wait to visit when the project is complete.
