Hey Hey!! Here with another Feature Friday🥳🤩
This week we would like to show off one of our EMTs who have been with SCSA since 2020, Mary! 😃
Not only has she been with us since 2020, but she has been in EMS and an EMT since 2016 and is SEI and ESI certified, Mary originally started her EMS journey in Illinois before moving to Washington, and here shortly she is going to continue her journey in EMS in Alaska and we are so excited for her and cannot wait for her to accomplish her pursuing her goals and continue accomplishing her dreams!
She is a familiar face as she has run on just over 2,100 ambulance calls since her time with our agency! Now that is dedication to her community!😮 In the past 12 months Mary has ran on roughly 10 CPR calls, 33 trauma calls and has taken Lead provider for roughly 235 calls with the reports I have ran from our reporting system! That is one busy lady! Mary sure is a busy bee as she also has provided FTO training for our New Hires too.
The amount of time and dedication Mary pours into her community and people is so incredible and is truly appreciated! If you happen to see her around, make sure to tell her thank you for all she has done! She really gives her all for each and every one she helps and that is the best service you can ask for! 😊👏

Another week down, which means we are back with another...
Feature Friday! 😁😁
This week we have, and MANY of you know him and recognize him... Bruce!
Bruce has been with our service since 2011, started as one of our volunteers, then transitioned into full time and continues to work as an AEMT (meaning an Advanced work of practice). He also volunteers and is a part of Team Rescue as well! Bruce also served our country for 24 years in the Navy before he retired! His true and one and only boss is his lovely wife Teri who he has been married to for 38 years and has two kids with!
In Bruce's off time you will usually find him...well probably still at work 😂 He is one of our CPR instructors, and he also umps baseball games and refs football games, FUN FACT, last year Bruce was one of the referees for the state 1-B championship game! How cool!
It is very rare, but if Bruce is not around, him and his wife are most likely on vacation which they do like to do often! (When she can track him down to go!) One of his favorite vacation's was Banff! 🌅

If you happen to see Bruce out and about, BE SURE to give him a huge thank you for all the dedication and passion he has and still continues to pour into his community! He is truly one of a kind! 🚑

With a FEATURE FRIDAY🎉🎉

Justin is among one or our longest serving members he started working for SCSA in 2018 as an EMT during our time as a volunteer agency. He routinly worked 24 to 36hrs a week while maintaining a full time job as Medical assistant with the providence clinic in colville. He left providence in 2022 when we transitioned to a full time career department to chase his desires of working in EMS. He went to school in 23/24 to achieve his Paramedic certification. Now serves as a extra help Paramedic filling in when he can for us. He also serves with Arden Fire Rescue District 7 starting in 2022 and still responds with them to this day. Justin attended Fire Academy at the beginning of 2026 and had been serving full time with Pend Orielle county District 2 (POC FIRE) as a Firefighter Paramedic where he also deploys as a Wildland Firefighter Paramedic on large scale fires with them. Justin has a background in Signals Intelligence with the Army where he served from 2011 to 2017. He has a wife of 13 years, and two children 9 and 7. While Justin did not grow up in the colville community his family has deep roots in the area and feels passionately about the community since moving here in 2017. Justin enjoys long walks on the beach and pina coladas but truly enjoys his time helping the community (as you can tell by working for 3 agencies at the same time).

If you see him around, (if you can catch him😂) please give him a HUGE thank you for all the dedication and time he gives out to his community! 😊
